So, I Got a New Lens Yesterday

Yesterday I bought a 35mm lens.  I have a 50mm lens and I adore the clarity but sometimes I just don't have a wide enough angle.  I wanted to test out this lens and luckily the so beautiful Danielle came out last minute to help me!  Here is a sneak peek.  I will do a full blog on this photo session and my maternity session from the weekend soon!

Three Days of Shooting.... I am not use to this!

Well, this weekend was a DOZY.  I shot two nights for an event in Macon called Bragg Jam.  I love this event, so check out their website http://www.braggjam.org/.  Here s a shot from that Night from the band Cusses:

This afternoon I did a maternity session.  I asked Ashley if she would help me with my portfolio work.  She is a beautiful and sweet lady!  However, After two nights of shooting and staying up past midnight (look I am an old lady and usually go to sleep by 10pm, maybe 11 if I am watching "The Bridge") I made a mistake.  I forgot to turn down my ISO from the night before shooting the concerts.  FACE PALM.  Here is a photo from that session today, she is still beautiful, but as a photographer I really should have been on my game.  I am still new to this adventure, and this really reminds me.  I thought it important to blog my accomplishments and when I make mistakes, I think it helps me to learn!
